Adopting a bunny? Here’s what you’ll need.

Rabbits need specific items to keep them happy and healthy. Please use this list as a guide when first purchasing items for your rabbit.

HABITAT:

Puppy Exercise Pen (at least 4’x4’ enclosure)
Floor covering, cotton rugs, blankets, towels, foam puzzle mats etc.
Litter box (large enough for bunny to turn around freely when inside)
Hiding box (you can purchase one or get creative with a cardboard box)
Small pet bed (simple, but padded)
Hardwood or paper pellets (unscented, no baking soda, no cedar, no pine)
Space to exercise—consider free-roaming your bunny

CLEANING/GROOMING SUPPLIES:

White vinegar (for cleaning litter pan)
Spray bottle
Cat nail trimmers
Q-Tips
Grooming brush

FOOD & TREATS:

Large water bowl (heavy to prevent tipping and spilling)
Hay
Nutritious pellets (Oxbow, Science Selective, or Sherwood)
Fresh fruits & veggies

FUN & GAMES:

Toys (bunny safe)
Stuffed Animal they can groom

Travel:

A travel carrier for car rides home and to the vet
