Who We Are Recap

Hi friends! We wanted to introduce ourselves to those that are new!

We’re Dolly's Dream Home Rabbit Rescue, an independent nonprofit rabbit rescue that is entirely foster based.

All of our bunnies are spayed/neutered, fully vetted, microchipped, litter trained, socialized, etc.

We take all bunnies of all breeds and ages, but are known across the country for intaking bunnies with severe special needs and giving them the best chance possible. We have a bunny physical therapist, have had wheelchair bunnies, paralyzed buns, amputees, quad splays, etc.

Our team doesn’t euthanize for space. Every single bunny is treated like a family member in their foster home and welcome to stay for as long as needed.

The main priority is education. We have a free (fun - I promise) virtual education course and have presented all over the world. People often think cages and carrots are appropriate for bunnies, but that’s not the case. You’re welcome to sign up for our course here.

We also have tons of community outreach programs, such as Bunny Buddies, where we bring bunnies to local nursing homes. It’s great socialization for the bunnies and uplifting for the residents. One of our other favorite things is Books & Buns at the local libraries, where children can gain confidence reading aloud by reading to a bunny!

Our team even offers services such as bunnysitting, bunny bonding, and more. If it’s related to bunnies, you can bet we have it covered!

Currently, we have nearly 70 bunnies in our program and are packed. Monday, we got 47 surrender and dumped bunny requests. Last week, we got 107 requests for help. It’s impossible to keep up. People are dumping them at Dolly’s Dream Store, threatening to eat them if we don’t intake, etc.

Honestly, we need more fosters and adopters. That’s where you come in.

All of our applications are at DollysDreamHome.org.

We could really use the help. If you’d be interested in temporarily or permanently welcoming a bunny into your home, let us know!

(And please share to any local community groups, your page, etc!)
