Rabbit Foot Keychain
Several months back, a director of a local animal shelter kept telling us that their adoptable unfixed rabbit is “as soft as one of those rabbit foot keychains.” That comment really stuck with us.
We were surprised to hear this so figured we’d explain a little bit of background on these keychains.
For starters, they are REAL rabbits feet! Typically not fake - even the bright, multicolored ones. If you were to shave one down, you’d see the entire foot and nails.
Many of these feet come from factory fur farms, where animals are routinely mistreated and neglected until they’re slated to be processed.
How “lucky” can a rabbit foot actually be? Everyone says they’re lucky but that couldn’t be further from the truth. A rabbit had 4 feet, walked around, then had them cut off, and is now dead for its fur and feet.
Is your keychain worth it? Sure they’re soft, but extremely inhumane. Next time you see one, go feel the nails on it. They’re real nails attached to real bone.
Victory, pictured, is shocked people still purchase them.
